What is IPL?
Intense pulsed light is a technology aimed at producing light of high intensity during a very short period of time. The high energy required is provided by specific lamps together with capacitors.

It is a multi-targeting treatment used for hair removal, skin discolouration treatment, tattoo removal and skin rejuvenation, most commonly employed by medical practitioners and aestheticians. It involves the use of a specially constructed xenon flash lamp and focusing optics.

What are IPL treatments used for?
We offer IPL treatments for:

  • hair reduction,
  • skin rejuvenation,
  • tattoo removal,
  • skin discolouration, including pigmentary and circulatory, as well as
  • sun damage.

How does a treatment work?
Following a thorough consultation with the medical doctor and the therapist, a clear treatment plan is presented before any treatments are started, and expectations are managed throughout.
Treatments are usually scheduled 6 weeks apart, depending on the type of treatment and the area being treated. The average length of a treatment is 10min, and your therapist will attend to all safety aspects necessary.  Make sure you know what to expect before the treatment is begun.
